Planning a destination wedding in Sicily starts with finding people who understand the place as well as your plans. I am Francesco Montefusco, a wedding photographer based in Agrigento, working across Sicily. From seaside celebrations to historic villas and countryside estates, I photograph the people, light and atmosphere that make each wedding different. My local knowledge helps us plan time for photographs around your celebration, so you can enjoy being together with your guests.
Whether you are planning an intimate elopement, a refined destination wedding or a celebration with guests arriving from abroad, my approach combines documentary photography, elegant portraits and a strong knowledge of the island. My goal is to create timeless wedding photographs while letting you experience Sicily naturally, without turning your wedding day into a photo shoot.
Knowing Sicily means knowing how its light changes from the coast to the countryside, how long it takes to move between locations, which places work best at different times of day and how to avoid turning a wedding into a logistical race. My experience across the island allows me to work with confidence in very different settings, from historic towns and seaside venues to private estates, vineyards and remote landscapes.
Sicily can change completely within a few kilometres. Mediterranean beaches, Baroque towns, ancient temples, vineyards, olive groves and historic estates offer very different settings for a wedding. Knowing these places allows me to suggest locations that reflect the atmosphere you are looking for and to build the photographic story around the character of the landscape.
Your time in Sicily can become part of the story too. Before or after the wedding, we can create a relaxed couple session in some of the island’s most beautiful places by the sea, in a historic town, among vineyards or in a landscape that feels uniquely Sicilian. It is a way to slow down, enjoy the island together and take home a visual memory of Sicily beyond the wedding day.
